I don't even show up on the google search for "Chris Anderson" (although I am the first for "Chris Anderson blog")... My ratings by page view on radio have drop to below #100 (although I broke 100 today)... at one point I was riding high at #80! I'm not entertaining my audience ;-)

I'm a fairly competive person, so I'm happy (and a little suprised) to see that dropping my rank hasn't caused me to stop writing. I enjoy blogging for the sake of blogging. I like the communication model of posting in response to others. This is just a great medium. It's been just over a month that I have been doing this - I'm a total newbie. I can't wait to see what this will be like in a year!

I posted my daily schedule that I was going to try to stick to. It's been 3 weeks so far, and it is going well. I think the biggest thing is that it is forcing some level of moderation in my life. I limit myself to 60 minutes to read, 3-4 hours on the web, and 10 hours at work -- still with time with the wife. I like the schedule. I think I'm going to keep doing it.

Finished the first week of intensive architecture meetings. We are working "offsite" (basically at another MSFT building) and trying to do some coordinated thinking about our product. The effort reminds me somewhat of our design meetings with working on WFC. Except the scope is bigger, and the time is more compressed.

Had a review with our group VP today (or is it exec VP, or super senior VP, or?)... with everything else going on I did nominal prep work for the presentation, but luckily the other guy made up for my effort and pulled off a good review. Wahoo - I get to keep my job another week!

Of course, yesterday was the field briefing (maybe "field" is the wrong word, it was a hugh number of "Architect Evangelists", and others...). It was the first time that we demo'd some of the stuff that I've been working on to any large group of people (even internally!). I had a blast doing the presentation, and the audience seemed excited.

Our offer was declined. Apparently the current owners of the house are buying a newly built (or being built) house and their contract won't let them sell their house to a party making a contingent offer. If we could just get the stock up to 100 I would happily drop my contingency :-)

My father-in-law lent me a new book to read - 1421: The Year China Discovered America. Its about how the Chinese came to the Americas long before Columbus... not a big revolution (especially given my recent reads of "Guns, Germs, and Steel" and "Lies My Teacher Told Me").
